I was in Watford general hospital for 5 weeks and had excellent physiotherapy and OT care following a stroke. It was personalised and professional. The staff were knowledgeable, listened and understood my needs, supported each other and are a lovely bunch of people. They kept appropriate notes for the continued development of my movement and have given me life changing help. I cannot thank them enough and wish them all success in their careers and hope they appreciate how much difference they are making.
Saturday 13/06. I walked into A & E, with a thump injury. From the moment I registered at the desk to the time I left. ( 1hr 15min ) was first class.
Dr Karen Tasker saw me in minors department within 15 mins of arriving. She sent me for X Rays. 30 minutes later I saw her again. She diagnosed an open fracture.
After fully informing me of all aspects of treatment, she dressed injury , provided antibiotics. Excellent service.
I would also say all the areas I visited were very clean and clear instructions, regarding social distancing , were evident everywhere.
Fantastic Experience. Thanks to everyone.
My operation was not done here but I had several appointments here
I went to watford to be induced. I was in the katherine ward and triage and i would 100% recommend gping to watford to have your baby.
The staff are amazing
They looked after me and baby so well
The support that i had was amazing and especially during the coronavirus, i couldnt of asked for a better experience since my partner was not able to be with me until i was in active labour.
Thank you to the NHS for everything

Great care
Sat in the A&E for 7 hours and have yet to be seen, absolutely ridiculous.
Had an appointment booked in for 12am to see my results of a Mag3 scan. I saw someone on the team is ESAU and he had no idea why I was here, I gave him my notes from previous as requested. I explained why I was here yet still no clue. I was sent back to the waiting area.
It is now 2:45pm and I am still waiting. I have missed work and not been told how long at all I will be waiting for. The doctor who organised this appointment hasn’t even shown up.
Staff at Watford General hospital were great and very supportive.
Receptionist very rude to family members visiting - I understand rules need to be in place e.g visiting only after 3:30pm but staff member extremely rude in enforcing it. It’s an exciting time for families and when you’ve travelled 3 hours and arrive 15 minutes early and are abruptly dismissed over the speaker at the door it’s extremely disheartening and also unfair on the new mother.
